Overview

Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a prime contractor providing manpower and support of IT Operations and Maintenance within a Federal Agency.  Our team must ensure every employee has reliable support and access to the network.   We are currently interviewing for a Network Engineer to support the environment.    

 

Responsibilities

  • Designs, builds, implements, and updates network systems.
  • Maintains records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots network performance issues.
  • Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
  • Monitors and responds to complex networking hardware and software problems.
  • Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • Responsible for installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems.
  • Engaged in the operation and support of network facilities, including all communications equipment on various platforms in large scale.
  • Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Provides the routine testing, upgrading, and analysis of all elements of the networking infrastructure.
  • Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
  • Patches and maintains network continuously to meet security compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience in Network Engineering at an Enterprise level focusing on Cisco Equipment
  • Two (2) years of experience with Firewalls (preferably Cisco ASA) or load balancing(A10 or F5)
  • Experience with creating and maintaining network design drawings in Visio
  • Experience in DOD environment, and with implementing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines
  • Knowledge of 802.1X configuration, including experience with Cisco ISE
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes to include maintaining system documentation.
  • Solid understanding of IP addressing and implementation of DHCP
  • IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8140.01 “Cyberspace Workforce Management”

Preferred but not required:

  • Prior experience with Forescout
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Prior experience with NetScout

 

Minimum Education Required: 

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related IT discipline.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:  An additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for a BS or BA degree. 
  • Ability to pass a high-level background investigation
