Overview

 

Delaware Nation Industries is providing 24x7 Network Support for the Indian Health Service (IHS) agency, delivering healthcare through several hundred facilities to our Native American communities across the nation from Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a direct hire/salary position with excellent benefits, and outstanding compensation including full medical, dental, 401K vacation and holiday pay.

Responsibilities

 

R&S

  • Candidate should have practical experience with the following technologies: Cisco Nexus/IOS routing & switching platforms.
  • Knowledge of Routing Protocols including: OSPF, BGP as well as IPSec/VPN technologies.
  • Proficiency in using tools and methods to diagnose network issues such as: Wireshark, LiveAction NX and PRTG.
  • Experience with Cisco SD-WAN is a plus.

 

Wireless

  • Candidate should have practical experience in general support for Cisco and Aruba wireless LANs (Controllers & AP configuration/management).
  • Wireless experience does not require physical deployment of hardware.

 

Security

  • Supporting Federal communication standards, resolving network security vulnerabilities, and compliance issues as needed.

 

Monitoring & Operations

  • Candidate with excellent communication skills, sense of urgency and ownership. A self-starter.
  • Support & perform network architecture/design, installation, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of core communications networks at remote sites.
  • Candidate will demonstrate a high level of expertise in resolving problems and troubleshooting network communications/infrastructures issues involving a variety of hardware/software and different protocols and platforms. Tracking tasks using tools including ServiceNow.
  • Candidate needs to be proficient in using tools and methods such as: advanced protocol analysis, system log review, event correlation, network management/performance tools, and dataflow mapping to diagnose and resolve network problems/incidents.
  • Communicates with the customer/user base regarding network issues/problems/solutions and leads/participates in numerous network engineering/customer/user teleconferences.

 

Telecommunications

  • Provides support for circuit incident management through close coordination with Verizon and other vendors as required.

 

Process & Documentation

  • Directly contributes to organizational objectives to meet SLA’s.
  • Develops documentation of processes related to supporting the IHS agency including new service designs and topologies.
  • Follows prescribed Change, Incident and Problem Management protocols.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Able to obtain a US Government Public Trust Clearance
  • CCNA/NP required with a minimum of 4 years’ enterprise network experience plus additional industry-related certifications.
  • Palo Alto experience is also a plus.
  • Comfortable supporting large WAN infrastructure with multiple data centers connecting several hundred smaller sites.
  • Experience creating detailed physical and logical data center and site-level network diagrams.
  • Experience with ITIL, Project or other IT service-delivery methodologies.
