The Solution Architect Team Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing DNI's entire solution architect team, driving the strategic technical vision, and ensuring the alignment of technical solutions with business objectives. This role demands an exceptional understanding of both the technology and the market, the ability to lead and inspire a team of professionals, and the foresight to steer the company’s technical direction in a rapidly evolving industry. Responsibilities include researching government technical industry trends, recommending technical direction options for the company and helping mold the overall strategy for business growth. This position also serves as the technical liaison between contractors in the field and the corporate BD team, understands technical intricacies of each individual contract and how to leverage those capabilities to win additional work, comprehends technologies DNI excels in, how to grow our footprint in different organizations (AF, Army, Navy, DoS, etc.), and grasps the direction of each customer, contract and the government to stay relevant from a technology standpoint. Setting the future direction for technical capabilities and forecasting trends in an ever-changing landscape is critical in this role. The Solution Architect Team Manager also fills our technical gaps by managing team resources to write compelling technical approach/past performance in company proposals to differentiate DNI from the competition.

Competencies: This role requires excellent communication, decision-making and technical writing skills. This individual must exhibit strong accountability, focus and team orientation and delegation capabilities to multi-task and mentor others. Knowledge of Gov-IT Technology trends and proposal / BD processes and best practices is critical.
Supervisory Responsibility – Responsible for leading technical writing and Solutions team in the Business Development Department.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role that primarily requires sitting at a desk in front of a computer for long periods of time.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time exempt position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours outside of the normal schedule (including weekends) is required when there is a heavy volume of proposal activity.
Travel: travel between 5-10 times per year depending on contract/opportunity circumstances
