The Superintendent/Project Manager coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.   Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. As a Superintendent you will meet with the Construction Manager as soon as job is awarded to review and plan for materials, safety, labor and equipment budgets and other issues. You will conduct preliminary jobsite visits as necessary for job preparation. You will meet regularly with your manager to review the progress of ongoing jobs and to discuss problems that are outside of your authority. You will be responsible for training workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies.  We are looking for a person who can act as a Superintendent and can assist with Project Manager duties in their downtime such as helping put bids together for new work.    Responsibilities include: Oversee, manage, and direct all aspects of the field operations of the project from beginning to end. Complete project on schedule, within the budget, and with highest quality of workmanship.   Effectively manage and execute assigned projects to include effective communication with superintendents, clients and subcontractors to ensure projects meet designated quality timelines and budgets.   Oversee, manage, and direct the safety aspect of the field operations of the project from beginning to end.   May be utilized in a dual role.

As the single real property manager for the U.S. government's diplomatic facilities overseas, OBO's portfolio spans 285 worldwide missions and over 80,000,000 square feet of functioning property. OBO's primary mission is to provide safe, secure, and functional facilities that represent the U.S. government to the host nation and support the Department's staff as they work to achieve U.S. foreign policy objectives abroad. The Program Development, Coordination, and Support Directorate (PDCS) is responsible for the design, coordination, and management of OBO's construction and renovation programs. The Office of Design and Engineering (DE) provides expertise in architecture; landscape architecture; space programming; space planning; interior design; graphic design; sustainability; civil structure, seismic, blast, geotechnical, electrical, and mechanical engineering; energy; telecommunications; and security. Working with Planning and Real Estate, DE develops and updates the Space Requirements Programs (SRP). DE directs design coordination of OBO's building program, managing designs from planning through construction. DE monitors the performance of the architecture-engineering contractors hired to execute OBO's projects. The office serves as the building code official, confirms the technical adequacy of construction documents, and issues building permits. The Energy group (NRG) provides multidisciplinary expertise for high performance buildings, planning, design, engineering, construction, utility management, and maintenance of OBO projects. A Senior Program Officer is required to perform a wide variety of duties to ensure the successful implementation of academic exchange programs managed by the Study of the U.S. Branch. The Senior Program Officer position will serve in the Branch working primarily on the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI).   The incumbent serves as a Senior Program Officer in the Study of the U.S. Branch (ECA/A/E/USS), Office of Academic Exchanges, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.  The Office consists of six regional Branches (Western Hemisphere, East Asia and Pacific, North Africa/Middle East, South and Central Asia, Africa, and Europe), and two functional Branches (U.S. Studies and Multi-Regional Programs).  The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) conducts academic exchange programs working with universities, colleges, schools, bi-national centers, Fulbright Commissions, government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector to foster mutual understanding and international partnership.    The Study of the U.S. Branch is responsible for planning and overseeing a variety of academic exchange programs including the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders (YALI), Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders and Scholars, and the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI).  Both the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders and the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative were started under the leadership of then-President Obama and continue in their high-profile capacity today.  Each year, the YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship brings up to 700 to 1,000 young African leaders to the United States for six-week academic and leadership Institutes; the YSEALI Academic Fellowship brings up to 500 young leaders from Southeast Asia for five-week academic programs; and the SUSI program brings approximately 600 foreign undergraduate students and scholars from around the world for five-to-six week academic programs on themes related to U.S. studies.
